SEASON EIGHT ARCHIVED SETS.

Concluding our Century broadcast with another barrage of musical intensity... He came to drop bombs!
Its been a long time since we had Derryk up in the studio but he's still kicking up plenty of fuss. More rolling break core for the 100th show. Listen out for Dead Pig #2 hot off the presses.
Tiny hands of evil - devilish intricacy!
Injecting the Skat - some uncut speed core to get the ILL centenary under way.
ILL Fm welcome the Plex/Suplex Dj to the studio for an old school rinse out - Strictly Hands Free !
This is the fist live stuff Rob has done for some time.. Considering this, he proves in this set he's been working jolly hard in his techno basement since the last output... It's a truly brilliant dancefloor smasher of a set with glances back to sounds of the past, and forward to the future - More stuff like this please Rob! Rob Stow is known by many names, but tonight, he is Roberta Streisand. No, he's actually just Rob Stow.
Here, we had 20 minutes remaining of the show. Rob Stow got his hard round plastic shapes out, and threw them. This set is a little fatty.
Ben plays us out some fantastical vinyl and some of his own fresh tracks... Here lives an exuberant set of squelchy bangers n mashup.
It's all gone wrong. Elton Wrong. Under this strange guise, a young man wishing only to be known as 'Mr.Wobbly-Bollocks' has put us together a bunch of garidgy, housey type stuff which makes for a great listen. I always knew Coleman was a bit chees... damn..!
This is a somewhat unfortunate but perhaps amusing slice of my live set.. There are technical gremlins all over the place, but I hope at least to raise a smile.
CJD the alumnus !
Representing for Rebel Intelligence with an electro bass and breaks set on an ambient tip - hopefully we'll get Yusuf back in the studio for a Live set soon.
Brain bending experimental electronics.
His stay in the ILL studio nearly at an end Mark P rinses it out for a final time.
On into the wee hours with more political noise and activist music...
An unscheduled acoustic session (and breakcore finale) with Dave Elvis in honour of the mayoral proceedings ...a true Londoner!
The Badger ! Pure Underground Activity !
Rocking the studio our 4th band of the evening was too much for our neighbors ... cue the council and an abrupt end to the live program ... although they did very kindly let us have a last tune ! The final part of the Katie report form Pho and Elin and Paul round up the evening's political commentary.
Back on with more fierce tunery interspersed with more punditry.
The third part of the ILL-ection special with Rocket Machine on stage, more from our studio pundits and Ed continues to investigate why the studio audience didn't vote!
Kartel taking over the ILL studio for the second part of the ILL-ection special with an awesome display of pure hardcore. More from Elin and Paul and the first installment of the Katie report from Pho.
Kicking off our Mayoral ILL-ection special with a dose of Skate Punk hardcore from Dan and the band. The first installment of Paul and Elin's election run down and Ed gets the studio straw poll.
HXW
Back from the far reaches of the back of beyond (well, Greece!), more melodic dub influenced musical treats.
Warlock representing for Rag and Bone with a couple of CD decks and a bag full of tuff new tunes. Watch out for a Rag N Bone back to back mix off in the Tuesday session June 17th 2008.
Back at the helm for another Combat Recordings session, Ben mixing it up!
The scanner ! Jude's been hard at work in the studio with the imminent release of Yellow Machines 1 and 2. Here he show cases his latest tunes. An audio treat - you've never heard bass lines like this !
Joining us in the studio, Festival Folly promoter Elin steps up to conclude a Spring evening broadcast with some classic Reggae and Ska. We'll get the full sketch on her mobile festival stage another day, she was a bit tired - bless!
Cap'n Fish Ice is up to his old tricks again with this east meets west, skillful blend of Indian pop, Gypsy and techno music. Really interesting listening, we're looking forward to getting Karlos on again in the future.
After recovering from a bout of 'BLOC' fever, Simon wrecks up the studio with classic old school flavour. One of his final performances in the UK before embarking on a tour of the globe ... next stop Thailand!
Transcending the fashion and ignoring peer group contraints. Breakcore A la mode !
3 piece antics from Richie, Chris USA and Dave. Great guitar noise, disturbing vocals and jaunty, off kilter beats. A scintillating live performance that included climbing the walls and floor!
Complex sound-scapery through a mixture of technological manipulation and hacking. Using faults for creative purpose ... definitely gets the ILL seal of approval.

SEASON SEVEN ARCHIVED SETS.

Electro / Techno badboy RUR from Earwax amongst many other things lays us down a session of Electro - chronologically - oldskool to nuskool.. Some serious rarities in there and classic tracks alike. Plus some slightly silly broadcasting.. Check it!
Our man from Sao Paulo rocked up and blew me away with this set - a big combo of breaks, techno, drum&bass, breakcore & hiphop style mashups with extra vocals and some crazy samples - thoroughly brilliant... Get on yer dogz n sledgez...
Prepare for the day after tomorrow ... Change is upon us ... Theres a storm brewing ... And it's gonna rain down like thunder. Enreset, Mc's Oz and Wildeye and scratch Dj Zane tear up the ILL studio with this 2 hour Monster Free Style Underground Resistance session. Simply Sick !
The first in a new season of Buccaneer Maroonings. This month, community artist and co-founder of the Campbell works, Neil Taylor gets washed up with just a small bag of audio and a luxury item or two for solace on Pirate Island. This is a conversation piece in every sense of the word !
One of the founders of Brainstorm Lab, JFrank takes us on a twisted but fluid progression from electronic soundscapes through to glitched DSP-heavy beat workouts. Go to www.brinstormlab.org for more sights and sounds from this artist.
After some time away from the party scene, this DJ hits the ILL studio with a genre bending set of techno wonk. Its hard, its weird its DJ Wottamess. Apologies for the typically dodgy intro to this recording, courtesy of the usual suspects...whoever they may be.
From the man behind the infamous smash-happy Scrap Club, comes Spax. Here Joel constructs a shifting collage of sonic sound scapes and mash-ups, drawing together diverse influences and personal tastes.
Electronica enthusiast,Writer and actor Stephen Fingleton, arrived late for his slot, due to a hair-raising journey to ILL HQ courtesy of an insane taxi driver. Hear this as well as other gory tales from the jungle we call London - oh, and his music is very nice too!
Taking the wheel for Combat in Stormfeild's abscence, a juicy taster of the set Ben's preparing for BLOC.
More heavy weight sounds from the Yard. An genre skipping display of bottom end frequency manipulations.
YardCore back in the studio, Bass propelled rhythms on the menu.
After some kind of appalling administration error last time round, Lusinda has graced us with her presence again, and this set is truly a growling beast of tracks that make your ass shake as your eyes water... Here lies some of the fattest techno, house, breaks, electro and oldskool in town...
Oh hoh he hoh...
Onken kicks off the evening by bringing us into an olskool pleasuredome... Classic numbers and phatty acid are rife; this is a corking set. Contrary to popular belief, the music nor the man bare no real resemblance to the yoghurt itself.
Hitting you right between your heart strings and your gag reflex, here is the ILL tribute to romance itself.XXX
Another highlight from our second season returns for another installment of surreal story-telling from tanya with submerging live soundscapes from Nik and Will.
A brief vinyl interlude from south london based DJ Prophane.
An ILL FM favourite from 2006 Nik and Will take over with a short set of their distinctive brand of experimental and melodic electronics.
Starting off The Konstruct vallentine's day special, DJ Sharon plays an eclectic mix of bitter-sweet electronica and strange pop hits.
We chew the fat as Mr.Kwerk introduces the evenings proceedings
You might expect to find him hefting speaker cabs or plugging in a lighting rig, so it was a pleasure to get Alex on the decks in the studio. Rinse Out tha Sound!
A veteran of long running pirate Origin Fm, Sam brings old a new flavour in this hardcore and new school breaks set. Some entertaining commentary and a bit of fun with the fabulous 5 run down in the middle. Comes with a Blackmass Plastics seal of approval.
A prelude to the ILL / Disjunkt Bristol link up in March, we drag Nik away from building kick horns to kick it in the studio. Sound boys beware this is heavy weight, dub/reggae thru hip hop thru jungle ... interspersed with letters written to porn stars. Proper entertainment!
Derrick at the helm standing in for Blackmass as host of the monthly step Odyssey. And an Odyssey it is!
Scan, Scan, Scandalous - Jude brings the bass pressure - he blew the studio amp mid-set it were that heavy.
Some dirty step and electro bass music - Doing the business !

Still Under Konstruction - things take a drum and bass turn ...
Kicking off the evening with a techno demonstration ...
Here for you is a wooly mammoth of music. Yes, Chuck Hearse / Plethora let one off in the studio that evening - several in fact - alongside an array of audio tip-toppery. A fine set indeed; listen and enjoy.
A mysterious stranger appeared at the threshold of the Ill studio door that night... and as we ushered him in he suddenly leapt about the room screaming "Mola Ram! Prepare to meet Kali... in Hell!". It was weird. (whip and hat not included)

LoveLove's Fez couldnt make it down to ILL HQ as planned but being a man of his word he sent us 2 short sets. The first is under his HERE COMES THE FLOOD experimental alias. This is followed him in his more familiar breakcore/mash up guise. An eclectic couplet from this versatile youngster. http://www.myspace.com/fezcore
This ecstatic noise trio describe themselves as being comprised of a delinquent 21-year-old classical composer, an absurdist sound designer and the mouthy skinhead formerly of No Bra. This is a twisted journey through controlled distortion and heady abrasive textures. Recommended to noise fans. http://www.baraclough.co.uk/
The Level X collective's Alexei Monroe presents this special experimental mix featuring the cold, dark and martial sounds from the Eastern European industrial underground, alongside contemporary classical and avant-garde sources from the region. P to the rescue! ILL FM's ever-ready resident DJ Fills the void in our planned schedule.
A long overdue ILL FM appearance from this DJ known for his hard and experimental sets at events such as sick'n'twisted and Global Warning amongst other. Unfortuntaley , due to the obstacle of distance, he couldn't be with us in the studio but this diverse prerecorded mix of hard, industrial and sick tracks certainly does his reputation justice.
Apparently this artist doesn't see the point in playing on anything lessthan a huge sound system , so we are happy to presernt Gunter's ILL FM live debut. So Gleefully misrepresenting Frogs Records and Stonka soundsystem, this well seasoned opponent of hard tek brings you tidings of doom and gabber as winter tightens its icy grip.
Straight from a near brush with fate on the German Autobahn, Julian Doyle soldiers on to ILL HQ with his collection of analoguge drum machines, synths and home made percussion intruments. Welcome to Filter Feeder's strange rhythmical sound world. Highly recommended. More information on this artist can be found at www.entracte.co.uk

You Nose It !
A storming set from Ali Uberdog - who decided before proceedings to change his name to DJ Ancient Tea Ritual. An interesting choice. Marvel at the fatness of the vinyl and attempt to enjoy the large amount of ranting beforehand.
Bringing in the bleep spaz cavalry. A quality live set from his own radio angled perspective. The sandwich master makes his presence firmly known...
The Minority takes us through a wonderfully presented array of choice tracks from various inspirational musicians. One for those with a passion for anthology of new and old music at it's best.
Somewhere between industrial psychedelic grime and psychotic boyband this team of rowdy agitants tackle issues such as hard house, insanity and those people who just arent very nice..and what they'd like to do to them. This one comes with a general health warning!
This improvised electronic duo employ software and live guitars to weave deep, dark and ever shifting tapestries of textures and subtle atmosperes. This is a fine example of their abstract sound world. Highly Recommended!

Surprise !!! The Wasp steps in to the breach - !!!WARNING!!! DJCJD apologizes for the unacceptable standard of sound quality, professionalism and mixing (or lack of it) on this particular set; and the disrespectful treatment of the artists Limewax, Current Value and Taffy. This was due to some technical issues at Schoss Adler and CJD's cognitive capacity (I.E. a skinful before the vet turned up and fisted him over the turntables) Normal transmission will resume as soon as his records are retrievable from the sandpit he jokingly refer to as his 'record bag?.Ta
"electronic drones, crakles, noise and chanting; rotation" Like a droning noise boomerang the pointster returns this time with a deeper sound than we've head before. Get in that floatation tank now!
Another slab of hard edged noise and experimental rock from this sonic anarchist. or in his own words: "disco delerium adventure and the experimental sound of life."
Always a pleasure to have Jude in the studio. He's back with another Scandalous Bass demonstration. A heavy weight performance.
This is just the sort of Hard Tek I really like, plenty of crazy stuff going off in the upper end of the frequency range and good bouncy bass which doesn't bore you to tears with its flat repetitiveness. Buzzin !
We're off to see the Wizard ... the wonderful Wizard of ... Piss !
Mission Creep Dj and Abacus regular - Andy spins us some Hip Hop from the distant past of the UK scene - No scratching in this set sadly - we'll have to get him back once the studio needles get replaced ...
Another slice of Hek Hop - UK takes takes the center stage for this demonstration of audio street philosophy.
More crazy vinyl action from the French side of 'Soap or Glue?'... A vast array of genres, all corkingly mixed. Includes befuddled outro from 3d!T...
Oh yes he does... ! Squeezing Pest (a 5-piece band) in their entirety into the studio was challenging in itself. Nonetheless, the outcome of this set was quite fantastic, and these tracks are still in my head as I type. Despite the vague comparing from 3D!T, this set is ludicrously funky and brilliantly executed. Pest for president!
A surprise appearance from one mister Dave Elvis; Elvis impersonator extraordinaire... A lovely impromptu performance, slighted only by a few mic problems...
We are taken on a ride from oldskool to nuskool to just plain weirdskool in this super-duper mashup from 'Soap or Glue?' DJ, Prophane.

The New Zealand based British expatriate brings you an abstract train journey through sonic soundscapes from the 1950's to the present. An uncompromising collage of Noise, Concrete, radiophionic sounds and experiments from the dawn of electronic music. She also runs the highly, highly exclusive Argot records label.
A dark ambient, noise, industrial live set from south london's Daniel Knowler. This is a deep and harsh foray into candy coated electronics. Oh, and a false start, so keep listening!

Following his recent performance at TAA, Matthew takes the time to give us some studio action. Unfortunately his Nintendo Wii controller couldn't make it for this session, but the man came armed with his vocal chords,Plogue Bidule and the greeting: "welcome to an hour of squelching."
A winding journey into the treacherous sonic terrain of leechworld. A meltingpot of dark ambient, cerebral noise, theremin tones and industrial beats makes for a true bloodsucker of a live set.
HXW
