HELM @ THE OTHERS | Luke Younger (also known as 1/2 of Birds of Delay) uses field recordings, tape loops, percussion, and electronics (among other things) create an extremely tense and daunting audio tapestry which leaves the listener pondering the intense meaning of the sounds chosen. Repeated themes arrive suddenly and then shift into new passages seamlessly creating a surreal environment of confusion and alienation. All of the carefully mixed and slow morphing passages are balanced by surgical editing technique (while leaving the tired "cut-up" techniques behind.) Helm's music many properties of concrete and sound poetry reminiscent of the work of Charles Amirkhanian or Bengt Hambraeus, it does not confine itself to these genre of these works. |

Its personnel are rumoured to be the remains of a DDR sleeper unit. It reprocesses the history and iconography of the DDR, plus related German and European historical, cultural & ideological sources including the hidden history of electronic music research in the DDR, DDR design culture and the aesthetics of the Warsaw Pact. Sz.Berlin is committed to systematically over-fulfilling production quotas of DDR inspired produktionist audiovisual actions, sound products and cultural-ideological artifacts, producing a regular supply of material for the sonic motivation of elite cadres and the productive masses. SLOPPY SECONDS @ THE OTHERS | A pair of non-dimensional time rabbits who strive to disolve notions of time and space through a 'sonic smudge' of intense noise coupled with visceral performance rituals. Named 1.7 and 5.2, these two rabbits deal with ideas of serialisation, subjectivity, shamanism, and quantum ontology, with a focus on creating a conflict and resolution within individual audience members regarding everything they believe to be true. Individual appearences are always different in form, but this simple thread of destoying time and space is present in all of their performances. Actions to date have included the smashing of clocks, the folding of paper, the defacing of maps etc. |

SPIRITWO @ THE OTHERS | Spiritwo first hit London stages as a band in early 2009 with their compelling combination of banging electro, industrial art deco pop, hard rock and world music. Within months, Spiritwo had already made a big impact on the East London arts scene, having been invited to perform at events such as Fashion Week together with PYMCA, Punch Drunk 'Afters' at the BAC and Andrew Logan's Wales exhibition. Wall's modus operandi has seen him classed a "sampling composer". ERROR | A pioneer of Latvian harsh noise/powerelectronics/experimental noise and dark ambient. Started in 1996 as one big joke, unwillingly and uncontrollable even by its creator, developed into one of the most extreme and beautiful eastern european noise acts. His work gained praise (though, more often failure to understand) not only owing to its unfamiliar avant-garde aesthetics, but also, to its ironic elements of social subversion. In the end of nineties popular were Error's sound synthesis pieces containing speeches of radio evangelists and deconstructed pop songs. Through the years Error has been drifting from harsh noise to ambient noise, combining seemingly opposite sound elements into one chaoharmonic sound product, currently performing so called hypnotic or progressive noise. (Error in his work is capable of reflecting profound emotion, balancing between deep, even overly dramatic seriousness and irony. The feelings induced by his music, among others, are anxiety of despair, sadness ranging from apathetic to piercing, and grotesque drama.
